The APhA Foundation Awards Incentive Grants to Encourage Innovation in Pharmaceutical Care

The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation today announced the 2021-2022 recipients of the Incentive Grants for Practitioner Innovation in Pharmaceutical Care. A total of 34 pharmacists and student pharmacists were selected to receive the $1000 Incentive Grants that annually provide seed funds to initiate or sustain innovative community-based projects that advance pharmacist-delivered patient care services.

The FtP program began in October 2019 with the first Progression topic of hypertension. A brief pivot occurred to release content focused on COVID-19. The 2nd Progression begins in June focusing on opioid prescriptions and patient care management. The implementation goal for the month is to identify patients within the Appointment-Based Model who take opioid medications and begin documenting the indication for medication use and calculate Morphine Milligram Equivalents (MME).

WASHINGTON, DC - The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation announced that the Community Pharmacy Foundation (CPF) increased funding in support of the APhA Foundation's Incentive Grants for Practitioner Innovation in Pharmaceutical Care. This program provides seed money for innovative pharmacy-based projects. The additional funding bolsters the total number of CPF-matched individual incentive grants awarded from 9 to 14 for the 2018-2019 award cycle.

The APhA Foundation Awards 2019 Incentive Grants

The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation today announced 30 recipients of its 2019 Incentive Grants. The Incentive Grants program supplies pharmacists with seed money to initiate or support existing innovative patient care services within their pharmacy practice. Osterhaus Family Receives the Inaugural University of Iowa Family Spirit Award

On Saturday, Nov. 10, the Osterhauses will be recognized as the inaugural recipients of the University of Iowa's Family Spirit Award at halftime of the Iowa-Northwestern football game. Changes to the Community Pharmacy Foundation (CPF) Board of Directors

At the August 22-23, 2018 meeting, the board of the Community Pharmacy Foundation honored the retirement of Robert Osterhaus from the board of directors. Board President Phil Burgess recognized Osterhaus's contributions to CPF during his eighteen years of service. The board appointed Pharmacist Matt Osterhaus, a practicing community pharmacist and a national leader in community pharmacy, to the CPF board of directors.

APhA Foundation Incentive Grant Program receives boost from the Community Pharmacy Foundation

WASHINGTON, DC - The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation announced that the Community Pharmacy Foundation (CPF) increased funding in support of the APhA Foundation's Incentive Grants for Practitioner Innovation in Pharmaceutical Care. This program provides seed money for innovative pharmacy-based projects. The additional funding bolsters the total number of CPF-matched individual incentive grants awarded from 9 to 14 for the 2018-2019 award cycle.
