Objectives
We propose to implement and evaluate the delivery of the Group Lifestyle Balance program in community pharmacies using student pharmacists and clinical exercise physiologists. This new model to deliver diabetes prevention intervention leverages great potential for impacting the diabetes epidemic. This project will develop an innovative, sustainable health and wellness delivery model that is able to increase access and promote wellness in our communities. The objectives of this project are: 1. To demonstrate the efficacy and feasibility of offering the Group Lifestyle Balance program at community pharmacies using trained student pharmacists and clinical exercise physiologists. 2. Translate the Group Lifestyle Balance intervention to community-based pharmacies.
