Objectives
This program provides education for recently settled refugees. The program is done in collaboration with local refugee resettlement support programs. Education provided includes how to navigate and use a pharmacy in the United States as well as safe and appropriate use of prescription medications. Participants are also taught about the components of a prescription label as well as what questions they should ask their pharmacist about their medications. The education session is interactive and the participants are surveyed prior to and after the session.
